In a rare Thursday night game, Monterey Trail defeated Laguna Creek, 35-28, to go 2-0 in the Delta Valley Conference and pretty much assure itself of a spot in the post-season. Of course, they now have to play Grant, Elk Grove and Franklin, yet with five wins, two in conference, they will likely make the Division I post-season.
Tonight the big game will be at EGHS where the Herd will take on Grant. Should be a good crowd.
