Pleasant Grove's 3rd Quarter Overwhelms Elk Grove, 67-55

Pleasant Grove opened the game with a 13-0 run and then began the third quarter by outscoring Elk Grove, 18-2, to take a 67-55 non-conference win over its cross-city rival. Center Marquiss Chriss and guard Johann Tate were the fire starters in the third quarter for the Eagles. Also impressive was Sheldon transfer James Fox who became eligible this week to play for the Eagles after sitting out a mandatory 30 days.

Pleasant Grove improved to 7-7 on the year while Elk Grove dipped to 8-9 on the season.

Thursday the Eagles play Franklin who defeated Granite Bay tonight, 73-70, in double overtime. John Mososco's jumper from the corner with three seconds remaining was the winner for the Wildcats.
