I had a chance to talk to Mike Larson, the father of NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Kyle Larson, on Wednesday. The elder Larson talked about his enthusiasm for the sport of motorcar racing, in particular the sprint cars on dirt tracks, and how Kyle at a very young age picked up his same zeal for the sport.
Mike offered some insight into Kyle's second year in the Sprint Cup Series, that he and wife Janet typically make about a dozen of Kyle's races a year, a little bit about his relationship with his son now that he isn't in the pits anymore, plus the joy now of being a grandfather.
