Tresemer's Walkoff Double Sinks EG, 7-6

A walkoff double drilled to the left field fence by Franklin sophomore Zach Tresemer off Elk Grove reliever Dustin Jack scored a pair of runs as the Wildcats came from behind to beat the Herd, 7-6.

Wildcat ace Cameron Keup threw a complete game even though he gave up three singles to Ryan Robards, Nick Madrigal and Derek Hill to lead off the top of the seventh inning. Carlos Moseley followed with an two-RBI double to give Elk Grove a 6-5 lead.

Four Franklin errors allowed Elk Grove to stay in the game. Ty Madrigal started for the Herd, but had a rocky three and a third innings. Skyler Quam came on to quell a Franklin rally and then pitched a solid fourth and fifth innings.

Damien Chavez and Hank LoForte had key doubles for the Wildcats (2-1 in the DVC).

Elk Grove (2-1 DVC) will travel to Laguna Creek Thursday for another league contest. The Cardinals gave up two runs in the seventh and lost to Davis, 4-2, on Wednesday.

Franklin will face Davis Thursday.
