Folsom Takes DRL; Franklin Finishes 10-0

Week 10 of high school football and we had some good games:

Delta River League:

Folsom 30, Pleasant Grove 14 (The Eagles commit 11 penalties, most at the wrong time as for the sixth straight year this game determined who won the DRL)
Oak Ridge 28, Jesuit 14 (Marauders are knocked out of the playoff race)
Ponderosa 49, Sheldon 46 (The Bruins make the post-season for the first time since joining the DRL. Four of the six teams in the league have made the playoffs)

Delta Valley Conference:

Franklin 28, Monterey Trail 6 (The Wildcats win the DVC and for the first time ever end the regular season 10-0)
Elk Grove 17, Davis 10 (Too close for comfort!)
Grant 55, Laguna Creek 6 (Pacers squeeze into the post season)

Sierra Valley Conference:

Cosumnes Oaks 31, River City 9

Metro Conference

Burbank 68, Kennedy 0 (The Titans for the first time in the school's 49 years go 10-0 in football and win the Metro for the second year in a row)
Florin 32, Valley 12

The Sac-Joaquin Section will release the playoff brackets around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.  There will be a special Internet video feed of the announcement on the Play-On Sports website and on the Section's website (www.cifsjs.org)
