Kerr Wins VBall Championship/ Rappleye Fundraiser A Success

The EGUSD middle school girls 2012 volleyball championship was played Friday at Edward Harris.  The match was between #1 seeded Albiani and #2 seeded Kerr.  The Kerr Lady Knights prevailed, winning the first two sets out of three.

Coached by Shirley Autry, the win came behind team play that held Albiani to less than 20 points both games.  Excellent, powerful serving by Haley Rousselle, McKinley Hutchings  and Sydni Sheff lead the way.  Setters Toree Oliver, Audrey Lamoureux, and Ashley Vanderpan, middles Mira Shulman, Shea Moreno, and Lauren Schoeneshoefer along with Libero Courtnie Ayers did well.   ....

On Thursday, a large fundraiser was held at Valley Hi Country Club to support the professional golf careers of twin brothers Cameron and Grant Rappleye

More than 100 golfers participated in the event and dinner. The boys' father, Kevin, wrote:

"The boys would like to express their deepest appreciation to the Valley Hi CC "family" and all the generous supporters located throughout the Elk Grove and Sacramento area. Additional thanks to Head Professional, Dave Bingham, who served as the Master of Ceremonies and to Denise Dougherty and Jim Davis and their great food and beverage staff at the club."
