Sheldon Advances In NorCals; PG Boys and Girls Lose

Sheldon's boys' basketball team, after first round bye in the NorCal Basketball Tournament, used a 19-2 run to open the third quarter and overwhelm Piedmont Hills, 65-44.

Elsewhere in the NorCals, the Pleasant Grove boys were beaten at De LaSalle, 54-50, while the girls' team were defeated by Berkeley, 51-33.

Here is my post-game interview with the Huskies' Kyi Thomas, who led all scorers with 19 points Saturday.

The Huskies now host McClymonds on Tuesday night. In the other NorCal Division I semi-final game, Jesuit will take on De LaSalle. The winners will face off for the NorCal Championship Saturday at 8 p.m. at Power Balance Pavilion.
