Elk Grove's wrestling squad took second place at a tournament in Albany last weekend.
Six of the Herd grapplers placed first in their weight classes while one was second.
Placing first was Tristan Scott (106), Ethan Larrabee (120), Terell Turner (132), Scott Votino (195), Thomas Aquila (220) and Jaharee Taylor (285).
Kelani Tonge at 113 pounds was second at his weight.
At the Tim Brown Memorial Tournament, also last weekend, Sheldon's heavyweight Sam Alnassiri won first place in his weight class.
