Franklin Wrestlers Defeat Davis, 72-15

Franklin's grapplers, following last week's disappointing dual match loss to Elk Grove, have rebounded the past few days with several outstanding performances. Wednesday in a Delta Valley Conference dual match, the Wildcats defeated Davis, 72-15.

Last weekend Franklin placed third at the wrestling tournament at Morro Bay. 

DJ Harper placed 7th at 160 pounds. 

Placing sixth were Adam Borges (138) and Antonio Jimenez (126). Arman Haq (145) and Ali Khan (132) both finished fourth while Josh Villaflor (120) finished third. 

Tyler Hecht (285) won the championship in an exciting match. This is Tyler's third tournament championship this year. 

Head coach Fred Banks said they had to leave Evan Fong (106) and Joey Banks (182) at home due to illness and injury. Banks was the number one seed at the Morro Bay tournament.
